By tapping on acupressure points in the body while mentally focusing on issues (an emotion, a physical sensation, or an event), the brain learns to diffuse the trauma and reduces the reaction and hence the stress, allowing you to reach your goals.
The stressful event is remembered but the reaction is diminished or gone.
